Introducing... Daily Eats!

Many people are curious about my diet.

When I tell others I've been dieting for over a year and that I haven't eaten carbohydrates (such as bread, cake, potatoes, etc.) since my 29th birthday dinner in June, I get the creepy-eye glare. Really, I do!  Most people tell me I'm crazy and say that they could never give up carbohydrates.  It's not as difficult as it sounds.... I promise!

My plan is basically a lean Atkin's diet (think Atkin's minus the butter and greasy bacon).  I just have to say that this is THE BEST diet I've ever been on in my life.  Not only am I completely satisfied, but everything tastes so good and I'm having more success than I could ever imagined.  I get to eat some of the tastiest foods available.  What's not to like about chicken and steak?  Broccoli?  Lowfat cheeses?

So here's what it's come down to...... I'm going to attempt to use this blog as a daily food journal for a while (about 2 weeks) so I can give all of you wonderfully curious people an idea of what has contributed to my success.  Just remember that EXERCISE IS just as IMPORTANT as what you put in to your body.  I'm finally understanding that and making positive changes.

Daily Eats:
B: Strawberry Shortcake Pure Protein Bar, 16 oz. coffee with 1 1/2 Tbsp. Half-n-half
L: Leftover taco meat with Greek yogurt, salsa, & lowfat cheddar, and nacho cheese soy crisps for my "scoops"
D: Grilled tilapia, broccoli & pepper stir-fry with parmesan cheese, a handful of grape tomatoes, and unsweetened flattened banana with creamy peanut butter (I had a sweet tooth)

Jenn's Tip of the Day:
Quit eating out!  Prepare fresh meals at home instead.

When I can stick to it, I do the No "S" Diet. It's "No Sweets, No Snacks, No Seconds, except on "S" days. It works for me when I behave. You're looking great by the way. Give Dave a hug for me.
