Robbed in the Ghetto

Disclaimer: I'm in a foul mood and this isn't very nice. Don't say I didn't warn you.

David's medical school is located in the ghetto... where our car was parked and broken into today. Have I mentioned that I hate Saint Louis?

I worked hard back in the day to be able to have this nice car. Now, I shop at Goodwill, shop at Aldi, don't eat out or go to movies, and practically starve myself half the time because we don't have a nice fancy income. And now I'm stuck with another bill....

Shattered glass... everywhere!

We keep a case of water in the trunk so we don't feel the need to stop at a convenient store every time we're thirsty (because those little expenses add up). Apparently the robber was either thirsty or they thought we were completely ridiculous for keeping water in the trunk of our car. They threw it out all over the street and in the grass. Take a look....
Dave called the St. Louis police and they said they'd have to call him back. When they called back it was just a dispatcher on the phone that took a "statement" from David and supposedly that's all they needed to file a report. Glad to see our tax dollars hard at work by dismissing situations like this in order to fight the real crime of "eating donuts" or pulling over people with their windows tinted too darkly.

It really ticks me off that someone would break into a car for a car stereo. In case you're wondering... Yes, the face of the stereo was out of sight in the glove box. They took a chance at breaking into our car. Sadly, they didn't even finish the job. I mean, they had plenty of time to throw our water all over the street, but the idiots forgot the remote and the case for the face. Idiots! If you're gonna commit the crime... do it right the first time! Better yet, just take the whole dang car. My deductible is the same amount regardless of the damage. So if there's ever a next time (which I'm sure there will be because this car is a magnet for disaster!!!), please do me a favor and just make the car disappear.
Thanks.
