David is currently living in STL and I'm in OKC. I miss him terribly, but I'm making it... well, sort of.
I'm living by myself for the first time in my life. It's not as easy as it sounds. Really, it's not! Here's a few reasons why...
My apartment complex is new. In fact, it opened about 3 weeks before I signed my lease. I'm the very first one to live in my 1-bedroom cozy lil' place. It's nice, but also comes with its share of problems. This area used to be all field. So, you can only imagine all the bugs I'm having to deal with these days. And I do not do well with bugs! Luckily I have a super cool Bissel 3-in-1 vac that allows me to just suck them up. I also spray pesticide every couple of days. All these bugs have forced me to just deal with it. We all know that if David was here I'd probably have him on bug patrol all the time. He isn't really a fan of me asking him to kill a bug that's bigger than my fist (I may be exaggerating).
I administered allergy shots to Ethan for my first time last night too. He actually had his first dose at the Vet on Monday and they showed me how to do it. This time it was a solo job. I was completely fine with giving him his shot until he ran from me as soon as I injected the needle. I was so worried the needle was going to snap and get stuck in him. Saying that I was frustrated would be an understatement. The whole situation had me in tears wishing that David were there to help.
Another thing I did last night was put together a saddle bar stool. We bought two of them, but I just put together the one so I can use it now. I spent a good 20 minutes sitting on the floor with pieces of wood, screws, washers, and a wrench. It kinda made me feel manly. Not a fan of feeling manly!
After successfully putting together the barstool, I emptied out the vacuum. It was disgusting (FULL of BUGS)! I cleaned the washable components and sat them out to dry. Have I mentioned that I miss my Dave?!?!!!
Well, after my evening of not-so-girly jobs, I decided to cuddle up with my pup and a cup of hot tea. What a day!!!
