Apartment Update

I completely forgot to mention that I paid a deposit on an apartment yesterday. Now I just have to sit here and wait until they complete their research to make sure that I will have a job/income and stuff. I picked out my exact apartment and everything. It's really nice and I look forward to everything being official.

Howdy from Oklahoma!

Hey, everybody! I sure wasn't planning on taking any time off from blogging, but I've been crazy busy ever since I arrived in Oklahoma. My previous blog post was on June 3. That seems like ages ago! So much has happened since that time...
  • I drove from STL to OKC
  • I celebrated my 7th Wedding Anniversary
  • I turned 30!
  • My Parents gave me some b-day money and I picked out another set of PEARL (my birthstone) earrings and a matching bracelet.
  • I cleaned my parents house like a crazy obsessive person
  • I've been hanging out with a couple of the most precious pups ever
  • My pup had allergy testing and is allergic to a LOT of stuff
  • My Mom treated me to an amazing Mani/Pedi
  • I had my SEMI-ANNUAL haircut (complete with an up-do this time!) with my awesome hairstylist, Tina
  • I FINALLY got to see my hubby after not seeing him for 2 weeks
  • My bro got married
  • I caught up with some family members I haven't seen in almost a decade
  • I have eaten a TON of food and felt like I gained 10 pounds, but only gained 1
  • I've been shopping (mostly for the hubster's new 4th year dress clothes) and found gifts for several people/occasions
  • I've been participating with the UCO Community Summer Band and we have a concert on July 1
  • I think I may have found my new home in OKC for the next year
  • I completed all my paperwork for my new job that'll start in August
  • I've been cooking some great grub for the fam
  • I enjoyed watching my hubby ride around in a fancy new CORVETTE!
  • And so so so much more!!!
Photos coming soon!

The Countdown Begins...

I'm in my last final hours in STL before heading to OKC for 5 1/2 weeks. As I was packing I realized that Ethan probably won't be returning to our STL apartment. How sad is that? It's been his home for the past 3 years and he's been the King of the Castle.
When I return in July I'll be frantically packing and making the move to OKC. Ethan would just distract me too much and be in the way of the movers. Poor lil' guy doesn't even understand what's going on right now.
Well, as much as I love being on my Mac, I'm shutting it down for the evening. I will be spending my final hours in STL with the man I love, my husband!

See y'all soon!

JUNE

It's JUNE! I feel that June is off to a great start! This is going to be a VERY EXCITING month for me and my family. Here's a bit of info regarding what's going on with us:

1: Pack; 2 great phone calls; Pool time
2: Pack; Clean apt; Run errands; Celebrate NATIONAL RUNNING DAY!; Received phone call regarding a teaching job offer for elementary music!
3: Load car and spend quality time with the hubby; poolside picnic lunch with my dear friend, Rachel
4: Pick up my Dad from the STL airport and drive to OKC (yes, my Dad is crazy awesome like that!)
5: My nephew, Jonah, is having his 1st birthday party celebration!
6: Church with my folks?; Talk with people about possible volunteer opportunities
7: DAVID & JENNIFER'S 7th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!; I may shed a few tears since I won't actually be spending this anniversary with David. We decided that I'd be spending most of the day by myself anyways because he'd be working long hours at the hospital. I may as well be in OKC all geared up to find a job. *le sigh*; Sign my 2010-2011 TEACHING CONTRACT!
8: Hanging out with my Dad a bit that day; dropping off resumes at schools
9: MY 30th BIRTHDAY!!!; Go for a nice, long RUN!; I hope to have my 1st ROCK CLIMBING experience!; Possibly enjoy some tea and scones (Mmmm...); eat at Earl's Rib Palace
10-11: Dropping off resumes at schools; Maybe an old lady birthday party somewhere in there???
12-16: Hopefully interviewing at schools; helping my Mom getting things ready for the wedding
17: Manicure/Pedicure; Taking care of last minute things;
18: David takes the Internal Medicine Shelf; David catches his flight to OKC just in time for...; the REHEARSAL DINNER!
19: Hair appointment; I get to see family I haven't seen in a VERY long time (uh, a decade?!?!);
WEDDING!

My BROTHER is getting MARRIED!!!!!

20: Recovery day..... from all the Wedding excitement!; Spend time with family before they have to return to their homes
21-25: David will be studying for Step 2 of the USMLE; Maybe meet with my awesome friend, Holly, for a photo shoot or at least some BIG TRUCK TACOS!
26: My nephew, Noah, will be having his 3rd birthday party celebration!
27-30: David will be studying for Step 2 of the USMLE (poor guy never seems to get a break!)

Other possibilities:
Lots of running, lots of biking, lots of time at the dog park, lots of sunbathing and swimming, working a SUMMER JOB, getting a teaching job offer, meeting up with friends, volunteering, and who knows what else?!?!!

That's just the main stuff that's going on in June. More events, errands, tasks, and chores will be added daily. WOW!!! It's crazy exciting!!! I can hardly stand it!

Phones

Why do I dislike talking on the phone so much? If it weren't for phones, I wouldn't be able to keep in touch with my parents very well or even my husband. Plus, if it weren't for phones, I wouldn't have experienced the 2 great (non-familial) conversations today that made me smile and wonder. = ) Oh, and my awesome friend, Erin, wouldn't have been able to send me a text inviting me to join her at the pool. I highly value phones and adore my iPhone, but I still don't enjoy using them as a means of communication. Maybe that will change one of these days.
