I've been struggling a lot with Brent's new work schedule. Not a doctor, but he's gone really long hours and working 5.5 soon to be 6 days a week. I whined and complained a lot and realized it wasn't doing either of us any good. Hang in there. As a wise person told me, the time when a young man is starting a career, he's also starting a family, making it the hardest time in a young couple's life, but it will get better!

That is amazing! So good to run like that right before Thanksgiving feasting. I have never run as far as you, but I was getting into it before I got pregnant. Now I have running dreams.

Last year we wanted spring break off too, but he couldn't take it, he got put the week after spring break, which completely ruined all opportunity for a family vacation, it was awful...I know the feeling. I want him to get one of the 4 day weekends the kids have sept or Oct, unfortunately, he can't take time off that rotation because he has to go to a conference in Atlanta and is already missing a week of that rotation, it really sucks...maybe thanksgiving and christmas, who knows...

I can't wait for our Whole Foods to open eithe...

I have to agree. I wasn't impressed with the cake. It was dry and stale. But, for the price, I thought I needed to finish it. I kind of regretted it in the end.

I am curious what your opinion is of Gigi's Cupcakes...have you ever been? I have once and their frosting piles on about 3 inches above the cake, but it does give a bit of frosting with every bit... I have to say, I like Sara Sara better too! So glad there is one in Edmond now!

My official guest is that it's actually the switch, and not the motor. But I'm not really mechanical so that's really a wild guess.
My mother in law had her artisan switch replaced, I think it was about $75.
You've made a lot of delicious things with that little guy.

Totally honestly, honest, honest, honest- PGY 1 was the hardest year of our marriage.

He did a surgery intern year. By about the 2nd month he was a shadow of his former self. Deep sunken eyes with permanent black circles. He would walk in around 7 pm, fall into bed without even saying hello and was up and gone again at 3 am. That's when he wasn't on call.

I found a potted plant outside the hospital that I would leave a bag behind on call nights. In the bag would be fresh socks, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a plate of cookies. That was all I could do.

I had a new baby at the beginning of that year and 2 other children and the pain around that fatherless year I can't even talk about.

Just get through! It has never been like that again!
