Pointersaurus!

A few weekends ago we got together with some friends to tackle a Pointersaurus Pizza.  The pizza came from a place here in ST. Louis called Pointer's Pizza. They are known for offering the world's largest delivered pizza.  It's a whopping 28" in diameter!

The corners of the pizza box hung over their table.  It was a crazy sight! Pointer's Pizza offers a $500.00 reward if 2 people can eat one of these at their restaurant in less than 1 hour and they have to keep it down for the next hour.  I just have to say that 7 (4 guys and 3 gals) of us tackled this pizza over the course of an entire evening and we were stuffed. So, if you're in the St. Louis area and up for a challenge, give Pointersaurus a try.

I don't think Greg & David
could tackle this on their own.

Are you up to the
Pointersaurus challenge?

Happy Birthday, Bro!

My Brother was born 26 years ago today!

Here are a few unique/interesting things about my brother...
1.  He eats Ranch on EVERYTHING!  (it's a Southern thing)
2.  He hates onions and always has.
3.  He was a tight wad growing up, but he spoils himself and others now.
4.  He's 6'4"
5.  He owns a home and has a career.
6.  He is a handyman (learned that stuff from Dad)
7.  He was obsessed with "Flight of the Navigator" and ninja movies when we were growing up.
8.  He can eat ice cream like it's going out of style.
9.  He has a girlfriend of over 2 years and a dog (German Shepherd)
10.  His first car was a Mercedes and mine was a BMW.

Here are a few of my absolute favorite memories...
1.  Glorieta!
2.  Christmas shopping
3.  Riding along with him in his cop car.

Here are a few of my favorite pics of him
I thought I'd share...
He enjoys camping, hiking, and other outdoorsy stuff.

He enjoys hunting and shooting.

Our mom insisted on family portraits
a few years back.
This has turned out to be my
favorite pic of my brother and me.
I think it was taken a few months
before I met my husband.

We Remember...

April 19, 1995

It's been 14 years and I still remember that day too well.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the 168 lives that were lost, the survivors, and all of their families and friends.

These are a few pics from the last time I visited the OKC Memorial in August 2007.

David's mom ran her first full marathon
(26.2 miles).

Sunsets

I don't ever see a nice sunset here in St. Louis. There are just too many hills and trees. So, I thought I'd share a couple pics I took of an Oklahoma sunset a couple of summers ago.  I'm hoping on seeing a few gorgeous sunsets when I go back to OKC this summer to visit friends and family.

Sound of Music....

This video really made my day! Enjoy!

New Stairs!

We bought Ethan some stairs yesterday so he can get up and down from the bed all by himself. The design was pretty flawed and the poor guy kept slipping.  So, I went to Hobby Lobby today and purchased some super cheap materials to make the stairs a little more user friendly for him. Well, they are now completely functional and half-way cute. Ethan LOVES them!

Beans....

COFFEE BEANS!!!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Starbucks? Well, I do.  I LOVE Starbucks!!!
I'm sitting outside a Starbucks right now drinking some delicious coffee.  I've been studying here today while getting a healthy dose of Vitamin D.  Yes, the sun is finally out today.  It's so wonderful!

He is Risen!

HAPPY EASTER!

He is Risen!

David and I went to service at a nearby church this morning.  It was so great to worship with other believers.  They featured the kids a lot today and it was really sweet.  One of my favorite parts was the children's handbell choir.  They did such a great job.  It was fabulous!  They just made my heart melt.

David is out and about right now.  He's meeting up with a prospective SLU Med Student from California.  David is giving him a tour of the school and showing him around town.  They'll probably discuss all sorts of stuff.

I had some Amy's Organic Mac'n Cheese for lunch while I watched the 1pm service at LifeChurch.tv.  It was such a powerful message and Pastor Craig always does a great job.  Have I ever mentioned that I miss my home church?  Well, I do.  I have gone there since February 1998 and I miss it and all the wonderful people I met there over the years.

Well, we're grilling out and having Easter dinner later.  I purchased an introductory package from Omaha Steaks (there's one just up the road from us) for a great deal a few months ago and I saved 2 beef tenderloin (filet mignon) steaks and the loaded potatoes just for today.  It's the last bit of meat in our freezer.  So, things are going to start to get interesting.
If I failed to mention it before...David gave me a challenge!  He has challenged me NOT to go to the grocery store except for the essentials, such as bread, milk, eggs, and fresh produce.  If you know me, you know that I can't ever buy only what's on the list. I tend to "stock up" every time I go to the store and when I find sales on things we'll eventually eat.  I haven't done any "real" grocery shopping for what seems like 3 months.  Well, I'm not exactly sure how long it's really been.   So, we've been participating in a "cupboard challenge." It's actually been pretty fun and our food spending has been almost non-existent.  How awesome is that?  It's amazing how creative we can get when we only allow ourselves to use what we have on hand.

Good Friday

We'd love for you to join us for a special Easter service this weekend.  We'll be attending LifeChurch.TV on Saturday night.  We're also going to an Easter Service on Sunday morning with a friend here in St. Louis.  I'm really looking forward to checking out another local church.

If you're looking for new Easter traditions, be sure to check out my post on Easter Story Cookies.
