David merging onto I-44 in Webster Groves, MO.
This was my view for 9 hours!

Our espresso machine was the first thing I unloaded after arriving in OKC. I made an iced soy latte so I would have the energy to unload my car and some of the UHaul.

Ethan's last moment with David. So sad...

Weldon Springs Clark Trail

Today was spent hiking the Clark Trail in Weldon Spring, MO.  It was unbelievably awesome!!!  Hiking has never been something I've enjoyed, but after all my weight loss it's something that really interests me.  In fact, it was my idea to go hiking today.  I'm pretty proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone and making positive changes.

I did fantastic on the hike!  I was full of energy and loved every moment.  David didn't hear me gripe or complain even once.... well, maybe a tad bit after I fell on my butt and back after slipping in the mud.  Oops!  = )  It was really, really muddy and slippery from all the snow we received in February.  The temperatures haven't been warm enough for all of the snow and ice to melt and the ground to dry out.  We saw some ice that was still hanging around.  It was crazy!

Anyways, that's enough chit-chat for now.  Here are some photos from our hike.  Enjoy!

We had a blast!!!

Ethan was a trooper and hiked the entire trail.....
A whopping 6 miles!
His poor little legs took a whole lot of steps.

Blackburn Park

After David and I played our game of tennis yesterday, we went home to pick up Ethan and then headed back out again. He needed to enjoy the beautiful weather too. Blackburn Park was calling our name!  It's a definite favorite of ours.

Bone

Ethan got a couple giant Chew-Lotta "chicken bones" from his Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. They absolutely love to spoil him. It's great!
He's very protective of this bone and I think I understand why. For being a dog treat, the thing smells fantastic! It really smells like a bowl of chicken soup. When I smell it I think of chicken broth. No wonder the lil' guy likes it so much.
He'll tote this thing around for hours and will even bring it to bed with him. He's been working on it for a week and you can see how much progress he's made.... not much. He loves to lick it as if it were a ice cream cone or something. It's quite amusing to watch him enjoy his bone.

Great job, Grandma & Grandpa for such an awesome find. Ethan loves it!
